When the world feels topsy turvy is the ideal time for us to look to our internality and connect with who we are and what matters.
Sowing seeds in a psychological and symbolic sense is about how we choose what we are putting our energy into. It is about holding intentions and nurturing them. It’s not about burying our heads in the sand, but about “rooting” into foundation of what life is about for us. From those places we can more effectively and consciously address the highs and lows of our own lives and even of the collective waves. We can surf without sinking and respond without the “clap back” as one participant described her own reactive tendencies.
Most importantly we need a “garden” that we can count on to feed us. I find that to be both practical and metaphorical advice. I recommend “putting your hands in it,” dirt, life, people, love, your art, your existence.
Though we may be in the depths of winter, we can begin this psychic growth process for the coming spring now!
That loves, is the purpose of Imbolc.
Included in this ritual is a nice energetic clearing, some thoughtful group discussion, and a little bit about using intention in a magical way for “composting” old habits, attitudes, and relationship dynamics.
As we enter the year of the Snake, we will be digesting lots of information, lots of big “meals”. We will also be shedding what no longer serves us and—as the snake sheds her old skin—be unable to go back to it. Be slow to strike. Belly to ground. Be aware of your surroundings. Use discernment.
Lotsa love,
~Justice
