Many tribal people did give space/support for women's Blood Time but I think sometimes out of fear and ignorance. "The Red Tent," a book by Anita Diamant about "biblical women's society," that includes scenes of mutual support for this cycle in women's lives. Thanks to the church's war against Pagan tribal people, we have little idea how our European ancestors might have approached this experience in women's lives. I imagine it to be similar, though.
