I’m sending you this on Good Friday. The day that Christians celebrate—mourn—the passing of the Lord into Darkness for 3 days, only to return on the full moon of Easter Sunday.
Yet, it is Her—Innana, Persephone, Isis, and Ishtar—whose journey I hold vigil with.Women. Mothers. The Womb. Life-givers and death-bearers.
To fully embrace life, we must also dance with death. As paradoxical as it may seem, this is how we thrive. This is Woman’s way. It always has been. That does not mean that it is not hard. That it does not hurt. It hurts exquisitely.
I have a unique knack for ‘clearing my slate’.
A friend reminded me of this the other day when we were talking. And as I prepare to release the Treelings I have been tending for the last few months, this is a good reminder—good medicine—for my own heavy heart.
