A personal and collective revelation of the roots of narcissism, totalitarianism, and psychopathy.

Wetiko is the name used by Natives to describe the “mind virus” or psychospiritual “parasite” that co-inhabits the human psyche. Though we can be fully possessed by this consciousness, we can never be fully rid of it. We can learn to recognize it in ourselves, others, and our world’s systems. We can gain compassionate awareness and practices that help us address and contain it. We have the ability to see through it and reclaim our creative spirit and our humanity.

The class will include a clear description of what Wetiko is, how we recognize it in ourselves and what do do when we locate it. How we address it in our personal relationships and how we confront it in the larger world. We will include real time practices and a body-based mediation to facilitate a deep and safe engagement process.
